During your stay with us we will ensure that a happy and successful partnership is established between all staff, parents/carers and children.
Founded in 2006, we are a part of Little Einstein’s Kindergarten Ltd. an ever expanding chain of nurseries throughout Scotland. At Little Einstein’s we aim to provide a challenging and stimulating environment, in which all our children can grow and develop at their own pace. We also work together with parents and children to ensure there is relevance and continuity in the care and education we deliver.
An initial visit to the nursery provides parents/guardians with an opportunity to view the nursery and meet manager, supervisor and staff. We recommend a further five settling periods (from 1 hour with parent - upto almost a full session - usually over 2 weeks) before your child starts at Little Einstein’s.
Every child is assigned a key worker who is responsible for observing and recording your child’s development in their own personal development files. Meeting with your child’s key worker can be arranged and parents/guardians can view their child’s development file at any time.
Partnership funding for 3 and 4 year olds may also be available to you.
Nursery Hours
Morning Session 08:00 - 13:00
Afternoon Session 13:00 - 18:00
We are open Monday to Friday, 52 weeks in a year. We are closed for Christmas, Boxing day, New year and 2nd January. The nursery is also closed on Bank Holidays.
Children can attend nursery for morning, afternoon or full day sessions.
Meals & Snacks
- Our qualified cook provides nutritious, healthy snacks made fresh daily.
- Our menus are on a 2 week rota and are displayed on our parent’s notice board.
- Breakfast is on offer from 8.00 am until 9.15am and a two course lunch is provided. Snacks are provided at 3.00pm.
- Milk and water are provided at snacks and mealtimes.
- Water is on offer to the children throughout the day.
- Snacks and meals are included in the fees.
- Vegetarian options are also available.
- A child with a special dietary requirement is also accommodated by the nursery.
Facilities
Baby Room
The child to staff ratio in this room is 3:1
Our baby room is a large, bright, cosy and homely room where all providing a relaxed and loving atmosphere for babies to develop and learn to their full potential. Various activities are on offer for the children, taking into account each child’s age and stage of development. There are a range of activities to stimulate and develop the child’s imagination.
Each child is assigned with their own keyworker and group allocated at the beginning of the settling in process. ‘My Day Sheet’ is completed for parents/guardians giving information about their child’s day. A separate sleep area is available to provide children with a quiet, comfortable area to rest.
Tweenie Room (1 - 2 years)

The 1-2 years room is now operating a free flow system, the children have access to both rooms throughout the day.
Messy room
In our messy room we have the climbing frame to develop your child’s movement and co-ordination. Our red table is for arts and crafts activities. We have a sand and water through for all some sensory play. In this room we also have the role play corner where we create different role play scenes for your child to develop i.e. house corner, shop, vets. In this area there is the puppet show, dolls and cradles, animal masks and dressing up for your child to express themselves through play.
Play room
In our play room we have our small world area to develop your child’s imagination, book corner for your child to explore their language and literacy skills. We have a large and small construction area for all children to develop their fine and gross motor skills. There is a music area for your child to develop their creativity and rhythm and finally the natural area for your child to explore all their senses.
We follow the pre birth to three curriculums as a tool to observe and plan for the children. Each child is assigned with their own key worker. My day sheets are completed for parents/guardians giving information on their child’s day.
Twinkie Room (2 - 3 years)

In our Twinkie Room we have created a fun, stimulating and safe environment for the children to participate and enjoy a wide range of adult led activities and free play to meet the individual needs of child. These include art, construction, puzzles, role play, quiet areas for stories, music and a lot more. We also have opportunities for physical play outdoors/indoors and for outings.
We use Birth to Three curriculum as a tool to observe and plan for children. Each child is assigned with their own keyworker. ‘My Day Sheet’ is completed for parents/guardians giving information about their child’s day.
Messy Play
An area is provided for messy play
Garden / Outdoor Area.
Weather permitting!, we have a secure and safe outdoor play area where the children can use a variety of outdoor toys and games.
