During your stay with us we will ensure that a happy and successful partnership is established between all staff, parents/carers and children.
Founded in 2006, we are a part of Little Einstein’s Kindergarten Ltd. an ever expanding chain of nurseries throughout Scotland. At Little Einstein’s we aim to provide a challenging and stimulating environment, in which all our children can grow and develop at their own pace. We also work together with parents and children to ensure there is relevance and continuity in the care and education we deliver.
An initial visit to the nursery provides parents/guardians with an opportunity to view the nursery and meet manager, supervisor and staff. We recommend a further five settling periods (from 1 hour with parent - upto almost a full session - usually over 2 weeks) before your child starts at Little Einstein’s.
Every child is assigned a key worker who is responsible for observing and recording your child’s development in their own personal development files. Meeting with your child’s key worker can be arranged and parents/guardians can view their child’s development file at any time.
Partnership funding for 3 and 4 year olds may also be available to you.
Nursery Hours
Morning Session 08:00 - 13:00
Afternoon Session 13:00 - 18:00
We are open Monday to Friday, 52 weeks in a year. We are closed for Christmas, Boxing day, New year and 2nd January. The nursery is also closed on Bank Holidays.
Children can attend nursery for morning, afternoon or full day sessions.
Meals & Snacks
- Our qualified cook provides nutritious, healthy snacks made fresh daily.
- Our menus are on a 2 week rota and are displayed on our parent’s notice board.
- Breakfast is on offer from 8.00 am until 9.15am and a two course lunch is provided. Snacks are provided at 3.00pm.
- Milk and water are provided at snacks and mealtimes.
- Water is on offer to the children throughout the day.
- Snacks and meals are included in the fees.
- Vegetarian options are also available.
- A child with a special dietary requirement is also accommodated by the nursery.
Facilities
Pre-School (Graduates Room)

Our base for pre-school children. A large area, where children can experience all areas of the curriculum. Each child is assigned with their own keyworker and group. Along with our excellent pre-school staff team, we have a teacher to assist with the delivery of the curriculum (assigned from Glasgow City Council on a block basis through out school term time). Children are also encouraged to interact with our ante-pre school children and staff throughout the day .
Of “free flow” system. Children are also offered regular trips/outings, physical/outdoor play on a daily basis along side our dance class conducted by a qualified dance teacher. Regular communication with staff, keyworkers and parents ensures information is passed as necessary. We also organise parent’s evening twice a year (May and November) and children’s progress reports. A final transition record is also passed on from nursery to the child’s primary school.
Ante Pre-School (upper floor)

These are two smaller rooms in which our ante-pre school children are based. These rooms work on the same principles and routines as our pre-school room. With all of the amenities and structures adapted to meet the needs of the younger child. Our excellent ante-pre school team, plan and co-ordinate with pre-school staff to ensure the continuity of the standards delivered.
2 - 3's (ground floor)

This age group benefits from the use of 3 (three) rooms which are used to deliver experiences from the curriculum, age and stage appropriate to the child as an individual. Every child has their own keyworker and group and is given a daily report on all aspects of their routine.
Ballpool & Messy Room
Children having breakfast at nursery would be welcomed into this room in the morning. It is also used for all messy/physical activities as well as for lunch, snacks, dance teacher etc.
Playroom & Imagination Room
These are interlinked rooms which our younger children can move freely between, offering home corner, dressing-up, puzzles, construction, etc. ‘Sleep time’ is also offered in this area after lunch or as required
All children from these rooms are offered daily physical/outdoor play as well as regular outings.
Children are taken through a ‘settling in’ period when the time comes to move from lower floor to upper floor. This ensures they are confident in their new environment.
